Rider Waite Smith Two of Swords Tarot Card Meaning

Two of Swords

Overview

The Two of Swords represents an urge to retreat inwards and limit stimulation from the outside world. At times this can be constructure, such as in moments that call for our inner wisdom and focus. Too much, however, leads to self-isolation and blockage. In crossing two swords across our chests (interestingly, in front of our hearts) we risk repelling what we need as well as what we want to protect ourselves from. This card also shows us the turbulence of being stuck inside one's head.
